PROJECT PILLOT

PUBLICATION OF THE PRELIMINARY COLLECTION OF ACTIVITIES

A draft version of the activity collection for integrated language learning and cultural education has been published.

In the initial phase of the international Pillot project, the team came together and proposed over 70 activities aimed at linking language education with cultural topics and heritage learning. From these, 17 of the most suitable approaches were selected for practical testing in all five partner countries: Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Luxembourg.

Repertoire of language education approaches in European context

The final approaches have been compiled into the project output titled Repertoire of Approaches to Language Education in the European Context. This collection is the result of collaboration within a transnational project funded by the Erasmus+ program, which explores the integration of language education with cultural heritage learning for adults with migration and refugee backgrounds.

The Repertoire serves as a working material for the Pillot project educators, providing practical guidelines for implementing and testing educational lessons with students. It ensures consistent activity descriptions across all partners. The first version of the repertoire was finalized during a joint transnational training session for educators held in Florence in July 2024.

The Repertoire is a collaborative effort of all five partners, revised and commented on by an expert external team from the Museum of Warsaw, the project coordinator. It is available for viewing or download on the project website.

By publishing the Repertoire, we aim to offer fellow educators and interested individuals insight into the "behind-the-scenes" process of the PILLOT project, demonstrating how new integrated educational activities can emerge from interdisciplinary collaboration among museum and cultural educators and facilitators of language learning activities.
